A name and a blessing for Baby Davis

We had a fun filled weekend with family and friends as we celebrated our new little man's arrival. My parents and sister were both here, as well as Spencer's parents and many of our friends from Saint George. (I sure was missing my little brothers!) Spencer gave Davis a wonderful blessing yesterday and he only cried a little. (Spencer that is. Davis didn't cry at all.) The circle was small, but it was a lot of great men who mean a lot to our family. Spencer, his Dad, our good friend Jared Painter, another friend Brent McFadden, and Spencer's best friend Neil Adams were all there. Spencer blessed him to be smart, healthy, and a good example to those around him. He blessed him to have a desire to serve a mission and he told him how much his family and especially his Father in Heaven love him. Davis is a very special little guy. His spirit has blessed our home already. It's only been 2 months, but I cannot imagine life without his little smiling face and calm demeanor. I'm so grateful for my boys. Spencer included. This weekend especially I was overwhelmed with gratitude.

After the blessing, we all gathered at our house and ate yummy Navajo Tacos. The kids played and played and the adults visited. It was a lot of fun. Davis already has so many people who love him and care about him. He's a lucky little guy.
