Never Enough

We all have times that things really weigh us down. I know sometimes I feel like there is just never enough. Never enough time to accomplish all of the tasks I set out to do. Never enough funds to make ends meet and feel comfortable at the end of the month. Never enough time to be with my husband. Never enough energy to keep up on my housework like I'd like to. When I get in this mode of thinking, I feel like I'm never enough!! It's very discouraging. Don't you think that's how Satan wants us to feel? When I get in this mode of thinking, I'm not a good Mom, I'm not a good wife, and I'm not a good member of the church.
Today I'm trying to remember that by myself, I will NEVER be enough. That is why we have our dear Savior. To make up the difference when we fall short. He is always there for us and knows us better than we know ourselves sometimes. I need to rely on his help and support. I need to LET him lift me up and help me get through. I am so grateful for Him. I am so grateful for His love for me and genuine concern for my well being. Next time I feel like I'm not enough, I hope I'll come back and read this and remember I DON'T HAVE TO BE!!! ;) Instead of feeling discouraged and worthless, I need to hit my knees and ask for help. I know He will always be there for me.

Yes, I'm the worst blogger ever.

Swimming makes us HUNGRY!!!

We love chalk!! (Carter loves to chew it.)

I can barely find time to shower lately let alone blog. But I thought I'd post just in case there are people out there that still check just in case. ;) Thanks for not giving up on me! Here are the recent happenings of the Ballantyne family. Spencer finished up everything for his Masters Degree! He'll be official soon! He gets to come home after school again and I'm very excited about that. I was called as the primary president in our ward. I'm feeling a little overwhelmed, but we need the blessings, so I'll give it my best shot I guess! We are all looking forward to our Disneyland trip in June. It will be a MUCH needed break from reality for all of us. Mason is loving preschool and gets smarter and sassier everyday. His current obsessions are popsicles, The Diary of a Wimpy Kid Books, ankle socks, chocolate, and swimming. He still comes in our bed in the night almost every night. He is so sweet to his brother most of the time and is a really fun little man. Carter is already "2" even though his birthday isn't until August. He learned to throw fits and tantrums much earlier than Mason did. He currently eats bananas and graham crackers. And nothing else!! He is starting to talk more and more. He has a baby doll that he LOVES to play with. His current obsessions are crackers, water, stickers, swimming, acting like a dinosaur, babies, dancing to classic rock, and copying everything Mason does. He has gone on the potty a few times and I'm very excited about that! We still have a LONG way to go, but at least he's interested! Even with the stubborn streak and tantrums, I wish we could freeze him at this age for a little longer because he is a riot. I will try to be a better blogger, but it probably won't happen. ;) Maybe this summer. . . . .
