My boys make me laugh. Here are s few things about them lately:
- - -Carter LOVES bread and sweet potatoes. We went to In-N-Out a few weeks ago and we had to buy him his own BUN. The kid at the register thought I was nuts. "So you just want me to take a bun right out of the bag and hand it to you? Okay. . . " Sweet Potatoes are the only "baby food" flavor I can get him to eat. He'll eat others for Daddy, just not me.
- - -Mason is obsessed with the number 3. He has to eat things in multiples of three, play with things in multiples of three. . . . .
- - -Mason loves finding words that rhyme. Then he will repeat them and say, "Mason, Race'n. . . .That goes together!!!!!"
- - -Carter LOVES Mason. He thinks he is the FUNNIEST thing EVER. All Mason has to do is walk by and Carter just giggles. I love that they love each other so much.
- - -Mason eats oatmeal for 2 meals most days. He just can't get enough of it.
- - -Mason's favorite "job" to do is sweep the floor and sing, "sweep sweep lion tail, sweep sweep lion tail. . . " (Also known as "Sing Sweet Nightingale" on Cinderella.)
- - -Carter is so happy. He has had an ear infection for WEEKS, but he never cried so we didn't take him to the doctor. I FINALLY convinced Spencer that we should just take him in and check. He's been on that lovely pink liquid (a.k.a Amoxicillian for almost a week now!)
- - -Carter's favorite toy to play with in the car is our empty pop bottles. If he is fussy, we just hand our empty bottle back to him and he's happy!
- - -Carter has THE SADDEST sad face I have ever seen. It breaks my heart. I got stern with him for biting the other day and he looked at me with his big blue eyes like the world was ending. I can't explain it other than it is SO SAD!! It made me cry. I hope he doesn't learn to use that face to his advantage or we could be in trouble!
- - -They both love to be outside. They love to play in the yard, go to the park, go on walks, go hiking. . . . You name it. We've gone hiking a few times this year, and I hope we can go lots more because they have so much fun!
- - -Mason has a few imaginary friends he refers to as "the girls." They don't have names, and I'm not sure how many of them there are, but he brings them everywhere. I have to leave the car door open long enough for them to get out. One day, we accidentally left them at the store and we had to send my Dad to go "pick them up."
- - -Carter will not swallow rice cereal or baby food. He likes the taste of it, but he just leaves it in his mouth. He takes bite after bite, and it all just sits in there, dripping and flowing out when he gets to full. I get so frustrated! He swallows for Spencer and that makes me even more mad! I will have to stick with bread and freeze dried yogurt. Daddy can handle the cereal and baby food!
I could keep going, but I'm sure you're bored and I need to go to bed. They have just been doing the funniest little things lately and I couldn't help but share. They are so much fun. We are so lucky to have them in our little family!

How cute! And what a good mom you are to write those things down. I cannot believe how big your boys are getting.
That is fun!! Your kids are funny!!! We need to hang out again!!
"The girls" and Maddux's imaginary friend, "Friend Ghostie," should get together some time.
Oh my heck, whenever I hear about Mason I just laugh my head off! He's so hilarious!! I really want to hear the "sweep sweep lion tail" song, and I love that his imaginary friends are "the girls"... someday they won't be imaginary anymore!
It's unfortunate that "the girls" will never meet "Finkle." Gavin tells me all the time that Finkle moved away because it was time to grow up. Sad. Cute, cute boys!! I really do wish we lived closer so our boys could play together! (And we could, too!)
Spencer used to have imaginary friends that he referred to as "the girls" as well. The acorn doesn't fall far from the tree.
