So I haven't had time to post all of the great blogging ideas I've had as our lives have gone quickly by the last few weeks. Here are a bunch of mini posts to let you know what the Ballantyne's have been up to. . .

Carter sucking his thumb. . . Again. . .

The day I put up our Halloween/Fall decoration on the front porch, a little bat came to visit. He stayed on the house all day, and then flew away that night. We joked that he wanted to be a decoration too!

We carved our pumpkins for FHE last night. We love pumpkins! Pictures never do them justice though. Hopefully you can tell we went with a disney theme this year.

We finally finished them up around 11:30ish. Mason slept through half of preschool this morning! Oh well, it was fun family bonding time.

He doesn't look tired at all. . . . .right?

What a big helper. I found Mason feeding Carter the other day. "He was hungry Mom." He really was hungry and for once, Mason's attempt at "helping" really did help!
He is a great big brother!

We definitely have a thumb sucker on our hands. We give him the binki and he spits out and and puts the thumb back in. It's cute for now I guess. . .

Our boys. Aren't they cute? Don't tell Mason though. If you tell him he's cute he says, "I'm not cute, I'm . . . sssss . . .Hot!"

The boys work really hard to help me out around the house!! ;)

For UEA I had tons of vinyl to do, so we didn't really do anything fun. We did go to the part and have a picnic and Spencer and Mason played some football. The weather was PERFECT and it was so much fun to have a little family time.

We found a tarantula on our house the other night. I think they are cool in glass cages in Spencer's classroom, but not so cool in our yard uncontained!

Carter is at that fun cooing, happy, smiley stage. He is so much fun!

oh my heck I was on the phone when I read this post and when I got to the spider I was so shocked that the girl I was talking to thought I had hung up because I was sooo shocked I just stopped talking! Sooo creepy!! But your boys are sooo cute. Man Carter has his own look doesn't he? Or do you think he looks like Mason? So cute!
You've had quite the visitors this Halloween season. I'd be totally freaked out!
I am SO impressed with your pumpkin carving abilities! I guess I won't post our pumpkin pictures... you put us to shame!!
I was thinking, "what a great post" when I kept scrolling down to see that spider!! Oh my gosh, seriously I am never coming to St. George! Did Spencer pick it up like it was a little puppy? Eeeew, I can barely look at the picture, knowing that those things just walk around free there! Don't you ever worry that one will sneak into your house? Ok, enough about that creepy thing, your pictures are so fun! I love the one of Carter sucking his thumb, so sweet! Oh ya, and that bat trying to be a decoration...that is pretty funny!
You guys never cease to amaze me. You are the cutest family ever. Carter looks so cut sucking his thumb. We are going to get tayva's hair done down in st george in the next couple weeks so if you have a free moment we would love to see you guys (providing there are no bats or creepy spiders around!!! yikes!!)
What a great smile your little guy has! Mason is so cute! I'm glad I wasn't around when there was a loose triantula, that'd totally freak me out. It's not like you can just squish them under your shoe! That was funny about the bat :) And your pumpkins are AMAZING!! I can't wait to see them in person. We carved our pumpkins on Sunday (I hope to get pics posted soon) because that was the only time we'd all be home together this week. Turns out it's too hot around here to do it that early, they're already about all rotted :( But I don't think the kids realize so we still go light them every night! I'll be calling you soon to talk about Friday night, yay!
Well...we wanted you guys to come and carve pumpkins the other night...but I'm glad you were busy because you seem to be professionals! Freaky tarantula, I actually caught one at our house a few weeks ago but he wasn't very big of course then he got away. Everytime I opened the back door I was sure he was going to jump out and get me! Carter is a cute little thumb sucker...Isaac is wearing the same jammies tonight!
Okay I think I would DIE if there were a tarantula in my house. What did you do with it? I can barely handle the little tiny spiders. That is crazy. You have such a cute family! I miss you and hope things are going well!
Cute pics Jen... except the spider! Carter is looking so cute, and Mason is like he said hot! It looks like you are keeping busy! Make some time for me on your calendar from Thanksgiving until December 11th okay!
I am sure Spencer doesn't remember me, but I am Christel's older sister Heidi. I love in Duchesne with my husband and 5 kids. I just had to comment on Carter's thumb sucking. We have a 2 1/2 year old little girl who started sucking her thumb when she was 5 months old. She was the absolutely best baby ever, and even though she still does it- A LOT- we still think that it is cute (sometimes). I think that whatever works with your children will be fine- we will just do the "Braces" thing later! HAHA
I would seriously have a heart attack if that were at my house! I hate spiders! Your family is so cute. I think its pretty cute that Carter sucks his thumb. And your pumpkins turned out so cute!
